Craig Holman was an Allstate baseball and football player at Etowah High school in Attalla Alabama. He pitched his High School baseball team to two 5A state championship and had a four year high school pitching record of 24 wins and 1 loss. Holman pitched his college years at Jacksonville State University where he was a two time All American and won two NCAA DIV 2 College World Series. Craig pitched both championship title games. His 4 year college pitching record was 32 wins and 4 losses. Making his pitching record an amazing 56 wins and 5 losses in those 8 years.

He was drafted first by the Toronto Blue Jays his Junior year of college. He chose to return for his senior year and was then drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies. Craig Holman won the New York Penn League ERA title his first year of professional year and was the Phillies Minor League Pitcher of the month. He was a member of the Reading Phillies 1995 Eastern League championship Team and also led the Eastern league in complete game one year.

Craig pitched ten years of professional baseball before retiring after a failed attempt to return from Tommy John reconstruction elbow surgery. Craig has continued to teach the game of baseball locally in the Reading area over the past ten years. He married Erin Shockley Holman, a local Wilson High School product who recently was inducted into the Wilson High School Hall Of Fame. They have two children, daughter Jordan 10 and son Luke 7. They live in Sinking Spring, Pa.  Craig's post playing days have been very busy, he operates Holman Baseball Academy in the winter months and works full time as an owner of a small medical implant distributorship. He does many public speaking engagements and is an incredible motivational speaker. Craig Holman was recently inducted into the Jacksonville State University Sports Hall Of Fame.
